This kit contains one Korean commoner’s (Sangmin) homestead, from during the Joseon Dynasty. It has a double working door and a removable roof. These smaller buildings could be used as storehouses for produce and materials, or would house a labourer and their family, and were often built near an aristocrat’s (Yangban) home, to whom they were servants or tenant farmers.
The Korean War was fought between June 1950 and July 1953, between communist North Korea and capitalist South Korea (both sides aided by other international powers). Although the majority of important battles were fought over Korean cities and ports, many smaller towns and villages made up of traditional buildings were swept up into the conflict.
Kit contains thatch and string.
Miniatures are for scale purposes and are not included.
