Dark Ages of Annwn is a Skirmish Game where you play a small village defending itself from folk horrors, other villages, and the remnants of a fallen Empire. You will create folk heroes whose own tragic stories will be told for aeons to come.

Instead of large, brilliantly equipped armies, each player brings five or six units of militia. Each unit is made up of one to four models on round bases. For example, one may be a spearman, another an archer, and the last hero.

You will need a collection of themed miniatures to play. We find great inspiration in the Dark Ages Wales, but this game is not aiming for historical accuracy. You should feel free to play it with any miniatures you so wish. You will need some beasties to represent the monsters of myth.

For those who enjoy narrative or role-play campaigns, you may play through Ribirthi (Spring), Haf (Summer), Cynhaeaf (Fall), and Gaeaf (Winter), each with special rules, scenarios, and solo play. Build and feed your village wit rules for managing resources between scenarios.
