Bart and Pecos Pete were the over-the-hill sheriff and deputy of a small town just south of Abilene. The town was not of much note and rarely of much notice to anyone. That suited Bart and Pecos Pete. Unfortunately, it also suited a pack of Ghouls that decided to settle the area in search of easy prey and little chance of discovery. Soon random townspeople began to disappear. Never ones to shy from danger, the pair decided to follow the trail of abductors of a family from the outskirts of town. Suspecting Comancheros, they quietly crept up on the villain’s camp. They gritty determination soon turned to horror as they discovered the townsfolk had been taken not for eventual ransom as they initially believed but for a more fiendish purpose. The site of the people of their quiet town being consumed was more than they could bare and in a fit of righteous anger, they wiped out the entire pack of ghouls. Bart and Pecos Pete soon discovered their sleepy town had attracted a lot more…and a lot worse…than just Ghouls and so began their second career as Monster Hunters.
