Peasant Levy (1100 – 1350)

Peasant Levy (1100 – 1350)

TO ARMS!
The peasant levy could make up the bulk of an army during this time period but were rarely the decisive element in a battle. They were raised in one of three ways: as members of a lord’s household, as mercenaries, or levied from a town or the countryside. Many of the men were armed, had some training, and came from the upper peasantry; the tenant farmers who would have at one time had prior experience of a battle.

This 28mm hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 30 levy with a wide variety of weapons, including spear, bow, club, sling, axe, and sword, as well as a variety of farm implements as a last resort. A variety of heads allow for even more customization and parts can be combined with the other sets in the range.

This part of a new range – The Age of Chivalry.
